WFMU is an independent freeform radio station broadcasting at 91.1 fm in the New York City area, at 90.1 fm in the Hudson Valley, and with live audio streaming on the Web! They are a great radio station, and at the risk of sounding goofy (again), we were honored when they asked if we would play live over the air.
In the controlled confines of the WFMU studios, this was by far the best performance of the weekend. Like the WMBR show, we were able to play while facing each other, which always makes it easier for us to see and hear each other, and thus play off of each other.
Due to construction at the studios, we actually prerecorded our set. Afterwards, we had a quick dinner, and then, just as we got back into the minivan to drive back to Boston, we got to hear ourselves on WFMU over the car radio. The DJ, Stork, was particularly effusive with his praise: "Roll up a fatty for the Lothars!"
